And
a few more that we've not had time to update. Vauxhall
Motors are entering a factory backed team with one of
their current BTCC drivers providing the driving skills,
Caterham have partnered with last years winner, Track
and Race Car in one of their new CSV's, and almost all
of last years competitors have upped the game and are
entering this year.
The
unique aspect of the event is how the competitors are
able to give passenger rides to potential customer to
show what the cars can do out on circuit - a great sales
tool and great fun for the customers at the same time.
Milltek Sport as title sponsors will again be out in
force showing off their range of sports exhausts for
the whole tuning industry and giving passenger rides
in their Audi RS4 and other vehicles.
Last
years event went right down to the final lap with the
Westfield fighting it out with the Elises for top honours
so we're expecting a similar fight this year. The new
class structure based on vehicle type does mean that
every class is going to be close run competition so
all day we expect close run racing.
The
trade village has taken a different turn this year with
a more technical nature developing, we have trade stands
from KW Suspension, Perfect Bore pistons and engine
internals along with sponsorship from at least two of
the UK's largest ECU specialists.
The
move of the event to Snetterton means the dedicated
car club parking is now central to the action right
in the middle of the circuit on flat level ground so
all the car clubs can park up together but still see
all the action. Most of the UK's largest car clubs seem
to be represented with a lot of them making a week end
of it.
We're still getting entries every day with a lot of
competitors leaving the car choice they enter to the
last minute so expect more updates in the coming days.
This years event is looking to beat even last years
for fun!
